Supposed to Launch during Apple’s

The iPhone 16 is coming and it could have some big changes.

The Apple iPhone 16 Pro is supposed to launch during Apple’s event on September 10, and probably the date of availability is going to be September 20, 2024. This new model will present a number of upgrades and new features.

Display and Design

With the iPhone 16 Pro, Apple is likely to include a 6.3-inch display, the first time it has used this feature in its Pro models. The Pro Max version is also going to get an increase in size to 6.9 inches. The proposed smartphone is also expected to have under-display Face ID components and a brighter MLA AMOLED screen to improve the visibility of the devices. Apple may trim down the bezels further to 1.2mm to make it look sleeker.

Performance

It’s going to pack in the new A18 chip, which will join hands with 8GB RAM. The combination is going to bring quite a boost in processing power—especially when throttled up to run some pretty advanced features in iOS 18.

Camera

One of the most exciting changes will be that the Ultra-Wide is going to see an increase to 48 megapixels—quite a big leap up from 12 megapixels on the iPhone 15 Pro. It’s going to be paired with improvements to the standard camera systems, which will also hold similar configurations to the past generation.

Buttons and Build

The iPhone 16 Pro is likely to maintain the titanium frame, USB-C port, and the Action button introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro. It might even add new capacitive—solid-state—buttons to the entire device, totally doing away with physical buttons and bringing a new tactile experience.

Colors

Space Black, White, Gray, which could be rebranded to something like Natural Titanium, and a new Rose or Desert Titanium color could also be added to the list.

All the rumors hint that this will indeed be a major upgrade, particularly in its display, camera, and processing power. imore
